12 June 2026	Two Statements of Common Ground have been submitted, one between the Council and the Mayor of London and the other between the Council and CWG (formerly Canary Wharf Group. Both Statements of Common Ground can be viewed in the examination documents at THLP/ED12 and THLP/ED13.
26 May 2026	A Statement of Common Ground between the council and Strong Drive Ltd concerning Allocation 4.4 is available at THLP/ED12 on the Examination documents page.
15 May 2026	The hearing sessions of the Examination of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Consolidated Draft Local Plan have been scheduled to take place over four weeks, opening at 10am on Tuesday 7 July 2026. Please see the hearing sessions page for further information.
14 May 2026	The Inspectors have accepted THLP/ED09 the Statement of Common Ground between the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) regarding Site Allocation 3.8.
14 May 2026	The Inspectors have accepted THLP/ED08 the Statement of Common Ground between the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Chrisp Street Developments Ltd & Poplar HARCA regarding Site Allocation 2.2.
27 April 2026	The Inspectors have accepted THLP/ED07 the Statement of Common Ground between the London Borough of Tower Hamlets & Places for London (TfL) regarding Site Allocation 3.5.
27 April 2026	The Inspectors have accepted THLP/ED06 the Statement of Common Ground between the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Newcore Capital regarding Site Allocation 3.4.
27 April 2026	The Inspectors have accepted THLP/ED05 the Statement of Common Ground between the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the Southeast London Joint Waste Planning Group (SELJWPG).
2 March 2026	Inspectors J Bridgwater DipTP MRTPI, A Phillips BA (Hons) DipTP MTP MRTPI and B Lomax MPLAN (Hons) MRTPI have been appointed to hold an independent examination of the Tower Hamlets Local Plan 2023-2038
16 February 2026	The London Borough of Tower Hamlets Local Plan 2038 was submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination on Monday 16 February 2026.
