Neighbourhood Planning Area consultation
The council is consulting on an application to modify the boundary of the East Shoreditch Neighbourhood Planning Area.
This modification will remove the part of the Neighbourhood Area which is currently within the London Borough of Hackney, and, if approved, will mean that the Area will be entirely located within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Please note that if the modified area is designated, no other Neighbourhood Planning Area can overlap with the East Shoreditch Area until the designation is replaced or further modified.
A six week consultation period is taking place from 14 March 2019 to 24 April 2019.
The following documents are available:
Paper copies can be found at the following locations:
- Tower Hamlets Town Hall Reception, Mulberry Place, Clove Crescent, E14 2BG
- Bethnal Green Library, Cambridge Heath Road, E2 0HL

The focus of the consultation is on people who live, work or carry out business in the proposed Neighbourhood Planning Area. Responses from individuals or groups in other locations are also welcome. Written representations should be received by 5pm on 25 April 2019.

The East Shoreditch Neighbourhood Forum status ceased to have effect on 5 February 2019. This is because national legilsation states that Neighbourhood Forum designations expire after five years unless the Forum re-applies. The Neighbourhood Area designation is unaffected.
The application to designate a Neighbourhood Planning Area and Forum for East Shoreditch was approved by the Mayor in Cabinet on Wednesday 5 February 2014.
Please note, this is a cross-boundary Neighbourhood Area which also covers part of the London Borough of Hackney. More information is available on the London Borough of Hackney's website.
