Neighbourhood Planning Area
A decision to modify the East Shoreditch Neighbourhood Area was approved by the Mayor in Cabinet on 22 May 2019
This modification removes the part of the Neighbourhood Area which was within the London Borough of Hackney, and means that the Neighbourhood Area is now entirely located within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
A six week consultation on this proposal took place from 14 March 2019 to 24 April 2019.
The following documents are available:
The East Shoreditch Neighbourhood Forum status ceased to have effect on 5 February 2019. This is because national legislation states that Neighbourhood Forum designations expire after five years unless the Forum re-applies. The Neighbourhood Area designation is unaffected by the expiry of the Forum.
The application to designate a Neighbourhood Planning Area and Forum for East Shoreditch was approved by the Mayor in Cabinet on Wednesday 5 February 2014.
Please note, this was a cross-boundary Neighbourhood Area which also covered part of the London Borough of Hackney. The Neighbourhood Area has since been amendded to only be located within Tower Hamlets (see above).
