New telephony system to improve call experience

We are upgrading to a new and improved telephony system to make it easier and quicker for residents to get in touch with the council.

The new system will enhance call quality, reduce waiting times and help us respond more efficiently to queries.

To complete the switchover, our phone lines will be unavailable on Tuesday 3 February. On this day, residents will not be able to contact the council by phone.

While phone lines are temporarily unavailable, residents can still reach us through a range of alternative channels:

  • Online services via the council website
  • Residents’ Hubs across the borough
  • Our social media platforms

Emergency services

Emergency numbers will remain available throughout the day for urgent issues, including:

  • Emergency Housing repairs
  • Social Care
  • Reporting anti‑social behaviour

Please visit www.towerhamlets.gov.uk for the full list of emergency contact numbers.

Normal phone services will resume on Wednesday 4 February.

We appreciate your patience while we make these essential improvements.
