Combining dance, music and theatre, this project will explore how, in the past, many Black parents and religious communities viewed music, dance, and performance as sinful - an old school belief rooted in Christianity and Islam. However, over time, these same art forms have become integral to Black culture. What was once seen as defiance is now celebrated as a powerful means of self-expression, resistance, and identity. Join Spotlight's project and explore the evolution of black creativity and culture.
