Windrush & the NHS: A nurse called Ruby
Join a Host for a 45-minute talk and hear the story of Ruby Hall, a Jamaican nurse who answered Britain’s call for help.
After the Second World War, Ruby, like thousands of other Jamaican women as part of the Windrush generation, travelled to the UK to work for the newly-formed National Health Service (NHS).
Hear her story and find out more about the connection between the Windrush generation and our NHS.
This talk will take place on 4, 11 and 25 October.
