Synopsis: BSK (UK) proudly presents Bioscope, a brilliantly funny and fast-paced satirical comedy. It is written by Bulbul Hasan and directed by Syeda Saima Ahmed, as part of A Season of Bangla Drama 2026. Bioscope is set inside a chaotic community TV station run by the Bangladeshi diaspora. It takes audiences behind the cameras and into a world of breaking news, gossip, cultural debates, rivalry and comic confusion. As the newsroom becomes consumed by rumours and reputation, a fearless young intern enters the scene. He begins asking simple but uncomfortable questions about what really matters to the community.
This is a play with sharp humour, lively performances and plenty of theatrical chaos. It explores media, identity, generational change and the difference between curiosity and intrusion. Hilarious yet thought-provoking, the production invites us to laugh at ourselves while asking a timely question. Are we curious about what truly matters, or only about what entertains us?
