Healthy communities

What we do
Our joint strategic needs assessment 2025, which brings together local health data to inform policy, commissioning and services, suggests five key priorities for healthy communities in Tower Hamlets:
- Develop the skills and confidence of residents in local neighbourhoods.
- Work with residents, voluntary, community, faith and health partners to increase social connections and build relationships, by getting involved with activities.
- Support volunteering and participation in local neighbourhoods working with groups including charities, mosques, churches and other faith settings.
- Increase residents’ involvement in decision-making to empower them to improve community health.
- Develop ways of measuring whether we are improving community health.
