Duty planning officer service

The duty planner service is available for general planning enquiries.

Free advice is offered for small scale proposals, such as householder planning applications (i.e. single dwellings), changes to the use of a building, small commercial alterations and extensions ).

If you can't use the online form, you can contact customer service from 9am to 1pm from Monday to Friday on 020 7364 5009.

For some proposals for minor developments (such as householder applications and shopfront alterations) you may discuss these with a duty planning officer.

A duty officer is usually available between 9am and 1pm from Monday to Friday at the Town Hall.

To use this drop-in service, please call beforehand to confirm and arrive before 12pm.
