Duty planning officer drop-in service suspended

Due to the rapidly changing Covid-19 situation, there has been an immediate effect on some of our services. The council has put in place contingency plans and where a service is affected, we will find other ways to provide it.

The majority of our staff will be working from home.

The drop-in duty planner advice service has been suspended with immediate effect.

Duty planning officer service

We will continue to offer duty planner advice and our online resources are available.

The duty planner service is for general planning enquiries. It's there to help with interpretation of plans submitted with an application that might affect you.

Free advice is offered for small scale proposals, such as householder planning applications (i.e. single dwellings), changes to the use of a building, small commercial alterations and extensions ).

If you are not sure whether your query is suitable for the duty planner service, please check the pre-application advice page
