Passenger services
Passenger services provide routine operations through an agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Education and Social services. As well as other council departments requiring passenger transport.
Under this SLA it schedules, provides and manages journeys, operated by its own fleet and by external providers, carrying children with Special Educational Needs and vulnerable adults and elders from their homes to schools, day centres and lunch clubs.
We also provide regular journeys for schools and trips for council-funded projects and local community and voluntary groups.
We operate a range of vehicles from 16 seat minibuses to 37 seat coaches.
The majority of our fleet is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
All staff operating our services have appropriate PATS and MIDAS which is industry standard training in dealing with children and adults with disabilities, wear uniform, carry photographic identification, and are routinely checked through the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
We currently operate 52 daily routes with our own buses using the Inhouse service and manage approximately 23 regular routes operated by our external partners.
Check the FAQ for schools or voluntary/charitable organisations.
