Changes to parking permits

We are bringing in some changes to our parking system.  They will affect the way you apply for or renew a parking permit and apply for a visitor scratch card. We are working hard to get the new system up and running. While we are doing this, a temporary system is in place.

Permits will continue to be valid until 14 days after the stated expiry date.

Temporary permits with an expiry date or 14 October or 4 November will continue to be valid until 30 November 2019.

We will continue to issue parking fines for any cars parked illegally.

Please note that this applies to parking permits only and not to blue badges, freedom passes or taxicards.

Fleet management

The Fleet Management section manages all of the council’s vehicle fleet. It oversees the provision and disposal of vehicles, their legal operation, their management, maintenance and repair, and provides first-call accident, tyre, breakdown and insurance management.

It also monitors and undertakes regular assessment of all drivers of council vehicles.
