From sport, crafts, shows and workshops to events in the borough’s parks, and more, Tower Hamlets Council is planning a jam-packed programme of free activities for children, families and young people across the borough this summer, as part of its Summer of Fun programme.
This year’s programme gives residents of all ages a host of opportunities to make the most of the borough’s facilities as well as discover what there is to love about Tower Hamlets.
Cllr Maium Talukdar, Deputy Mayor of Tower Hamlets and Cabinet Member for Education, Youth, and Lifelong Learning, said:
“Our wide-ranging programme of free and inclusive events give children, young people and families numerous opportunities to explore, socialise, be creative, learn something new, take part in a physical activity and much more, during the school summer holidays.
“I encourage everyone to look at what is on offer and join in as many activities as possible.”
Highlights of the Summer of Fun 2025 programme include:

Next Stop – 900 years of Public Transport in Tower Hamlets, an exhibition hosted by Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archives. Visitors can learn about the history of red buses, trains, and so much more! And join in some fun events all about transport.
