In collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, London’s essential festival All Points East is proud to announce its annual IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD programme – Four exciting days of free entry events for all ages, featuring sports activities, live music, theatre, food and drink.
Free to access, the site is open between the weekend music festival days and all activities are free to do.
For this year’s edition, enjoy live music with Trojan Sound System, DJ Yoda’s 90s Mixtape Live, Cafe 1001 Stage Takeover, Rich Mix, DJ Kizzi (BBC Asian Network) and Grand Union Orchestra.
Free fitness sessions include House of Voga where visitors can get stuck into a power fitness class which blends yoga, vogue, fitness and fashion. Move Studio London, Be Well leisure services run by Tower Hamlets Council, OpenMat Pilates, Jess Owen Yoga and more.
Visitors can participate in free football sessions hosted by West Ham FC Foundation, and other multisports promoting physical health and mental wellbeing, including Limehouse Boxing, Tower Hamlets Hockey and Girls Allowed Sports Day.
Enjoy live theatre shows from Half Moon Presents, the UK’s leading small-scale young people’s venue and touring company, another great local success story. Based in Whitechapel, they give young people from birth to 18 (25 for young people with disabilities) an opportunity to experience the best in young people’s theatre, both as participants and as an audience member.
Flex your art skills and get stuck into The Big Draw. Founded in 2000 by the Guild of St George, The Big Draw is a visual literacy charity dedicated to spotlighting drawing as a means for looking after mental health, creativity, and social and cultural engagement.
Music-inspired activities including Orchestra of Objects – a world of inventing your own musical instruments where creativity meets innovation and School of Noise also feature.
East London’s Wrap A Hug is on-site offering support to new and expectant parents, plus Baby Sensory Hackney sessions are bursting with bubbles, lights, music, and magical moments for the little ones.
And so much more, including Free Cinema Screenings and cultural theatre shows & workshops hosted by Mukul & The Ghetto Tiger, Tamarind Theatre, Queen of Sheba Somali Poetry & Dance, the Community of Vietnam and Off The Chest Poetry open mic sessions.
