Textphones and Text Relay for telephone users

People who are deaf or hard of hearing can access services through our contact centre using the text relay service.

Text Relay calls come through to the Contact Centre like any other call. When our staff answer, the Text Relay operator tells us that it is a Text Relay call and they then carry out the call as usual.

Callers can use a text phone or download the ‘Relay UK’ application, to make a text relay call. The application can be used on smartphones, personal computers and tablet.

To make a call to someone who has the ‘Relay UK application’ or a text phone, you dial 18002 followed by the number you wish to call.

Further information can be found on the Text Relay website.
