Citizenship ceremonies

Have you received your invitation from the Home Office? Congratulations! You will shortly receive an invite from Tower Hamlets confirming the date of your group ceremony. This ceremony is free of charge.

If you have received the Tower Hamlets invitation and have further questions, or it has been 10 days since you received your Home Office invitation and you have yet to receive our invite, then please contact us via email with your telephone number and Home Office Reference at nationalityandcitizenship@towerhamlets.gov.uk.

Group ceremonies

These ceremonies are offered weekly. Every new citizen is offered a date automatically which may be changed if required. The ceremony fee was included within your Home Office application.

More information on these ceremonies may be found in your invitation letter from us.

Individual ceremonies

Should you wish to have an individual ceremony, please contact us via e-mail. There is a fee for these ceremonies. Please visit our fees page.

Individual ceremonies last around 15-20 minutes and they are only offered within certain times but do not have a long wait list. They are not offered over the weekend. You may have up to 60 guests for these ceremonies.
