Easter programme for young carers

Children Living in Care sessions 

Regular sessions for children living in care  

We deliver regular sessions for different age groups of children living in care.

Please note, dates and times vary over Easter, please use information below to find out more.

  • The Junior and Teen CLICC - Meet every Friday from 4-6pm at Haileybury Youth Centre (Ben Jonson Rd London E1 3FQ). For more information email Aksary.Rahman@towerhamlets.gov.uk 

  • The Senior CLICC (18 plus) - Meet every Wednesday from 4-6pm at Kitkat Terrace (Bow, London, E3 2SA). For more information contact Samantha.anderson@towerhamlets.gov.uk.

KitKat programme for care leavers and care experienced young people

We are calling all care leavers and care experienced young people to come along to our Kitkat sessions, where you can have fun, listen to music, play games, enjoy art, cook and eat together, go on trips and make new friends!

When? Every Wednesday - from 3 January until the 27 March 2024 - from 4pm to 8pm.

Week 1 – Education, Employment and Training

Access to careers and employment information, advice and guidance and recruiting for their Care Experience Apprenticeships and the Care Talent Pool.

Access to careers advice and guidance and employability and coaching.

Week 2 – Mind, Health and Wellbeing

Rep from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) - Providing advice, information and support about emotional wellbeing.

Rep from Safe East - Providing support with substance misuse, sexual health and more.

 Week 3 – Housing Rep from Housing - Providing advice and support with housing related issues.
 Week 4 - CAMHS & Money Matters

Rep from Made of Money - Offering drop-in advice service, financial capability in a coaching format.

Rep from CAMHS - Providing advice, information and support about emotional wellbeing.

Kitkat running club

Care leavers and care experienced individuals are also invited to take part in the KitKat Running Club, launching on 17 January 2024.

Coach Claude, from the Running Charity, will be taking young people out on a regular weekly run every Wednesday evening from 5pm until 7pm.

Come and give it a try, we will be starting off gently. Young people who enjoy these sessions and keep coming back, will be rewarded with a sports kit to support their efforts.

  • If you come to 4 sessions you qualify for the first piece of kit (trainers, t/shirts etc)
  • If you come to 8 sessions you qualify for the next piece of kit
