The Social Work Academy
An update for student and newly qualified social workers
Re: recruitment for the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment in Children’s Social Care
We appreciate that student and newly qualified social workers may be concerned about the impact of Covid-19 on themselves and their loved ones, but also on social work qualification and recruitment to Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programmes.
We remain committed to recruiting newly qualified social workers in Children’s Social Care. In line with current UK government guidance, we are currently considering the best way to manage the recruitment process at this time; most likely interviewing successful applicants online. The online application will go live mid-May and is available on our vacancy page.
In the meantime, we encourage you to
- explore our innovative Steps to Success initiative and
- join us for our annual ASYE Open Day via Zoom on Wednesday 13 May at 1.30pm. The meeting password is 8pnZfL.
You will have the opportunity to hear from social workers who have completed the program and those supporting them.
