We are looking forward to recruiting shortly for vacancies on our ASYE Programme. We will be holding an online ASYE Recruitment open event on Thursday 19th May 4-6pm which we would love you to join

Book your place

This event will give you the opportunity to hear from our Principal Social Worker and Divisional Director about how important Newly Qualified Social Workers are in our workforce. As well as hearing directly from those who have benefited from our 3 year “Steps to Success” programme which starts with the ASYE.

The planned recruitment timeline:

  • Application portal opens Monday 16 May – Sunday 29 May
  • Online group and written exercises for those who are successfully shortlisted will take place during the week of 13 June
  • Panel interviews for those successful through the group and written stage will take place during the week of 20 June

There has never been a better time or place to build a social work career than in the Tower Hamlets Supporting Families Division.

The Social Work Academy has developed an innovative 3 year Steps to Success programme  which offers a wrap around support package for social workers in their first 3 years of practice. This has enhanced the experience social workers have during their ASYE, as well as ensuring the right support continues to be in place afterwards to enable you to develop and build your career here in Tower Hamlets. This is having an excellent impact on our staff retention as well as the overall quality of social work practice.

The Academy is designed to be with you throughout every step of your career, supporting and empowering you through our commitment to 5 basic principles:

  1. Relationships at the heart of practice
  2. Enabling practice excellence
  3. Investing in new social workers
  4. Creating a culture of innovation
  5. Ensuring quality of practice
