Parking applications

We're making changes to how we manage parking bays on our estates by introducing new Traffic Management Orders (TMOs).

We no longer accept applications from people who live outside the borough. If you live in Tower Hamlets but are not a council resident, your application will also be refused. However, if you are part of a housing association, you may be eligible to apply for a bay within your nearby zone once the project is completed, subject to availability.

Businesses within Tower Hamlets can apply for a space within their nearest zone. This also includes Tower Hamlets staff and key workers who work within the borough. Prices will vary depending on the type of permit.

Traffic Management Orders (TMOs)

We are aiming for the TMOs to be in place by December 2025, possibly earlier. All residents should have already received instructions on how to apply for a new parking permit.
