London youth games

The London Youth Games (LYG) is Europe’s largest annual youth sports event, engaging over 160,000 young Londoners aged 7 to 17 in competitive and recreational opportunities across 37 sports and all 33 London boroughs. Our mission is to empower young people through sport, offering a dynamic platform for participation, competition and personal growth.

We are committed to promoting inclusivity, teamwork, and excellence, encouraging youth from all backgrounds to lead active, healthy lives while building friendships and developing vital life skills.

Through sport, we aim to inspire the next generation of athletes and leaders, leaving a lasting legacy of community engagement and passion for sport across the capital.

Most improved award

In 2017 team Tower Hamlets were awarded the most improved borough trophy at the London Youth Games. This trophy is given to a wide range of borough of have shown a vast improvement over the season.
