Free Outdoor Gym classes for 2019

Our outdoor gyms aim to deliver exciting, inclusive and safe places where you can enjoy physical activity across Tower Hamlets. And the best part? There's no need to book, just turn up.

 

Disability sport

Disability Sport

The sport and physical activity team and our partners support the running of inclusive sport wherever possible, so make sure to check our find a sport and weekly timetable for additional opportunities.

Swimming

The council run disability swimming sessions for free at Mile End Park Leisure Centre, from children aged 5 all the way up to adult sessions.

Sessions run every Wednesday from 5.30 - 8pm, and for more info you can contact shenneth.brereton@towerhamlets.gov.uk

Better UK also run sessions specifically for people with disabilities at Poplar Baths and Tiller Leisure Centres.

Poplar Baths LC Ages 3 - Adult Thursday, 4.15 - 7.30pm
Tiller LC Ages 5 - Adult Friday, 4 - 5.30pm

 

You can also sign up to the Health & Fitness Inclusive Membership for disabled people at ALL Better Leisure Centres.

Multi-Sport

We run and support sessions at Mile End Park Leisure Centre where participants can try different sports and activities each week.

Monday, 10am - 12noon

Ages 18+

Tuesday 10.30 - 12noon

Ages 4+

Wednesday, 6-8pm

Ages 5 - 16

Keep It Moving swimming

Swimming sessions aimed at older people (aged 50 plus) and for people living with long term pain.

Poplar Baths Leisure Centre, Saturdays 10am - 12pm, £1 per session.

Bikeworks

All Ability inclusive cycling clubs in Victoria Park.

Royal Society for Blind Children

Multi-Sport club and Sports Activities for 8 – 25 year olds with a visual impairment.

West Ham United Foundation Football
