Come and join us at our Autumn Registrars Open Day to find out everything you need to know about getting married or a civil partnership in Tower Hamlets.  

We are inviting couples to explore and discover the stunning rooms on offer at the Grade II listed St Georges Town Hall which dates back to 1860. 

Whether you're planning a wedding or a civil partnership, St Georges Town Hall provides a range of options to suit your needs from enhanced celebrations to basic legal registrations. 

During the open day on Sunday 29 October you will have the opportunity to meet our team of registrars, who are ready to assist you every step of the way.  

They will be on hand to answer your questions and provide valuable insights into our ceremonies. 

On the day you will be able to take a tour of our rooms that cater for everything from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Experience the charm of our venue first hand and see the perfect setting for your special day.  

• The Tower Suite is the largest and most traditional of the three rooms on offer and can accommodate up to 200 guests. There is a large aisle for couples to make their grand entrance and a dressing room for last minute touch ups.  

• The Hamlet Suite is a smaller, more contemporary ceremony room which can accommodate 20 guests and can be made smaller for more intimate ceremonies.  

• The Garden Suite – You may like the idea of having your whole event and celebration in the same venue. This will be available for hire to host a small reception and celebration for up to 80 guests. A beautiful modern, airy, space with a balcony area overlooking St Georges Park. Available for booking from January 2024 subject to licensing approvals. 

You can also choose a wedding venue that is licensed in Tower Hamlets. The advantage of one of these venues is you can have your ceremony and celebrations from a meal to dancing all under one roof.   

We have a diverse portfolio of venues that will suit everyone’s tastes from the majestic Tower of London, iconic Tower Bridge right through to the breathtaking Wilton’s Music Hall and East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf.  

The open day will run from 11am-3pm at St Georges Town Hall, 236 Cable Street, E1. Gift bags will be handed out to the first 100 people who walk through the door. No pre-booking required.
