Halls and venues for hire

  1. Tredegar Community Centre
    Children's birthday parties for under 13 year olds finishing before 6pm is £20.00 per hour plus refundable £200 deposit. Approximately 20 guests only. Fully Accessible facilities
  2. Poplar, Blackwall and District Rowing Club
    The Boathouse has a hall with bar, and balcony overlooking the Thames opposite the Royal Naval College at Greenwich. Capacity is up to 120 people for seated functions, 200 for others.
  3. ExCeL London
    Large venue particularly well suited for large, multi-faceted events requiring several spaces all under one roof.
  4. idea Store Bow
    Idea Store Bow can cater for a variety of activities ranging from meetings, seminars and conferences housed in a modern architectural building.
  5. The Ecology Pavilion, Mile End Park
    The Ecology Pavilion provides an ideal large contemporary space within natural wild surroundings for those seeking a venue that offers tranquillity, beauty and exceptional value.

  8. The Space
    The Space is an atmospheric, multi-purpose arts centre set in a delightful and architecturally significant 19th century Presbyterian church. We are available for hire for arts events, rehearsals, film and photo shoots, conferences, Christmas parties, wedding receptions and more.
  9. Osmani Centre
    This unique and engaging space offers stunning views of the City with excellent high quality amenities offering the perfect venue for your next event.
  10. Island House community centre
    Centre available for hire to community groups but alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
  11. Victoria Park Baptist Church
    Baptist Church and Registered Charity 1146557. Hall with catering facilities is available to hire. Capacity 100. Alcohol-free venue. Please call the number above or visit the website for further details and price information. Main service on Sunday 10.30am.
  12. Stepney Green School
    Secondary boys school with a hall available to hire and a conference suite available for business meetings. For further information contact the school on the above number.
  13. Whitechapel Sports Centre
    This sports centre's main sports hall is available to hire for private functions.
  14. Darul Umman centre
    Darul Umman centre has nice community rooms available for hire.
  15. St Johns Community Centre
    Community centre for St Johns Estate and the surrounding area. The hall is available for weddings, parties and by organisations in the community.
  16. Tarling east community centre
    The Tarling centre is a multi purpose community facility providing services in the Shadwell area. From cooking workshops to Bollywood dancing we offer a range of activities for all ages. The Rooted Forum are also based in this centre and offer a range of activities for young people including youth sessions, homework club, martial arts and boxing.
  17. Garrett centre
    Hall capacity for 200 plus two committee rooms available.
  18. St Margaret's House
    St. Margaret's House Settlement is a unique charity organisation that provides working space, support and opportunities to community organisations and other charities in the borough
  19. Artsadmin (formerly Curtain Theatre)

  20. Poplar after School Club (Poplar Play Centre)
    This voluntary sector play centre has been set up by parents, providing an after school club during term time for children aged 3-8 years. There is also a community nursery (see separate record), a family drop-in service and a toy library where parents and/or child carers spend time with their children. Please call for further details.
