Better 'No Strings' sessions are run at both Mile End Park and Poplar Baths leisure centres. These are social turn up and play sessions.

Exercise, dance & fitness
Our Parks run a huge variety of exercise and fitness classes ranging from aerobics to zumba in venues including Victoria Park, Meath Gardens and Ropemakers Field, many of which are absolutely free! Find out more on the Our Parks webiste.
Poplar Harca run many activities for local residents, such as ballroom dance, pilates, tai chi and much more. For more information go to the Well One website.
Tower Hamlets Community Housing also run activities for local residents, including yoga, dance and martial arts. For more information view the activity timetable.

There are 3 teams in Tower Hamlets providing hockey coaching and matchplay for a variety of ages:
East London Hockey Club provide youth training at Mile End Stadium, every Sunday 10 - 11.30am. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Wapping Hockey Club run a junior session at John Orwell Sports Centre, every Saturday 9.30 - 11am. Email email@example.com for more info.
Millwall Rugby Club run several men's, women's and youth teams. They are based in Millwall Park on the Isle of Dogs.
Queen Mary University run a community O2 touch rugby session at Stepney Green Park on Tuesdays, 5.30 - 7pm. It's a social turn up and play session for anyone interested in non-contact rugby. Head over to their facebook page for more information.

Tower Hamlets Tennis provide lessons, club sessions and court hire for tennis in the borough's parks. You can also hire a court from some of our leisure centres.

Queen Mary University's Community Netball League is the perfect opportunity for females of all abilities to socialise in a fun and competitive environment. Referees and equipment all included. All you need is a pair of trainers and some comfortable clothes.

Team entry is £350 which works out individually as £3.50 per week based on a team of 10 players. You can enter by visiting the Community Sport League website
Go Mammoth operate social leagues in several sports around the borough, including basketball, football, netball, softball and volleyball.
