Building control fees and charges
The charges we apply for building regulations applications are either determined as a standard charge or, for larger schemes, individually determined on a case-by-case basis.
Due to the current coronavirus crisis our standard charging schedule for fees are changing from 1 April. A copy will be made available as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please email email@example.com if you would like to know what fee is payable or you require further information on standard fees.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Individually determined charges
You can ask us for a charge quote for your scheme and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
To request a quote, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include 'Request for building regulation charge' in the title and provide a description of the intended work. Alternatively, contact us on 020 7364 5000.
The call-out fees for dangerous structures are provided on the dangerous structures page.
Out of hours inspections
In order to facilitate completion or occupation or to minimise disturbance to building users, arrangements can be made to witness testing of fire and live safety systems out of normal working hours. The following charges apply:
- Mon-Fri 6-9am and 5-9pm: £70 per hour
- Mon-Fri 9pm-6am and Sat, Sun and bank holidays: £135 per hour
We charge for some non-statutory services, such as providing copies of approval and completion certificates and file retrieval. See more details for document copy requests and file retrieval.
