Changes to parking permits

We are bringing in some changes to our parking system.  They will affect the way you apply for or renew a parking permit and apply for a visitor scratch card. We are working hard to get the new system up and running. While we are doing this, a temporary system is in place.

Permits will continue to be valid until 14 days after the stated expiry date.

Temporary permits with an expiry date or 14 October or 4 November will continue to be valid until 30 November 2019.

We will continue to issue parking fines for any cars parked illegally.

For more information, see the relevant parking permit pages.

Please note that this applies to parking permits only and not to blue badges, freedom passes or taxicards.

Compliments

We are always delighted to hear that our staff are doing a great job. We make sure they know when someone is pleased, as this motivates them and makes their work even more satisfying.

We have a staff recognition scheme, where you can put forward staff for an award. The forms for doing this are available in libraries, in Idea stores and in council offices.
