Have your say to shape Young Tower Hamlets

We are investing £13.7 million into developing an exciting new youth service called Young Tower Hamlets for young people aged from 11 to 19 and up to 25 with SEND across the borough.

As part of the redesign process, we want to hear from parents and carers living in Tower Hamlets on what our new youth service should offer young people. Sharing your thoughts in the Redesigning the Youth Service – Parents’ Survey will help us to design a modern and dynamic service that meets the needs of our young people.

In May 2023, 400 young people took part in a series of four interactive ‘Hackathon’ events to help design their future youth service. This feedback has already helped to shape the Young Tower Hamlets offer, which will place focus on:

  • Supporting young people post-16 transition into education, training and employment
  • Increasing of young people’s participation in universal ‘safe spaces’
  • Preventing young people from offending and entering the criminal justice system
  • Increasing employment opportunities for residents in both paid and voluntary youth work roles

We welcome your thoughts, comments and opinions as we continue to design a service that meets the needs and interests of young people across the borough.
