working to increase representation in leadership
Black, Asian and minority-ethnic people are currently under-represented in senior and community leadership roles in the borough, and the council is working with residents and local partners to make a change.
Ahead of the launch of a new “I Can Be..” project, the council is hosting a workshop at Idea Store Whitechapel at 12.30pm on Monday 21 August.
A free lunch will be provided and there is no need to book.
We’re calling on residents to help shape the project to encourage more people from under-represented communities to take up leadership roles and to be part of a positive change.
