Description
Lori King

This reimagines the 1980s representation of the Bengali East End using children’s puppet theatre. That generation of immigrants possessed a rich culture. They formed a strong impression that permeated into the current day. How can the children of the borough know what came before them? How can they see a visualisation of that era in a way they understand?

Lori Zakariyya King is a writer and performer. He’s a former BBC Writersroom alum. He has delivered hundreds of Rhyme Time sessions to children in Tower Hamlets and beyond. His themes are nostalgia and reframed memory, sometimes within an experimental comedy context.
