Two workmen uncover a chest containing the secrets and stories of a series of events known as the Spice Wars. These took place in 17th Century Indonesia (Banda Islands) between the British East India Company, the Dutch India Company and the Portuguese traders. Learn about the British Chandlers, the Bengal slaves and the Dutch officers. All played a role in this spicy story of love, power, survival and trade.
