Barnardo's free helpline to support Ukrainian families

Barnardo’s have a helpline to provide support and care to anyone fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.

You can call the helpline on 0800 148 8586. English, Ukrainian and Russian speakers are available.

The helpline is open Monday to Friday, 10am–8pm and Saturday, 10am–3pm.

Communities Minister Lord Bourne's visit to the Sundial Centre

We were pleased to welcome Communities Minister Lord Bourne to the borough to see our innovative Welcome to Tower Hamlets programme that supports new migrants and refugees.

The visit was at the Sundial Centre in Bethnal Green. The minister was welcomed by our Deputy Mayor, Councillor Sirajul Islam and they both enjoyed meeting a group of local residents who were busy learning English.
