Cashless parking payments

On 1 October 2018 our cashless pay and display payment system is changing to RingGo. There's no charge for downloading and using RingGo, but you can opt to get text reminders at a charge of 25p per message. Find out more about how to use RingGo.

Vehicle removal

If you believe that your vehicle has been removed from any public highway in London or from an estate in Tower Hamlets, please contact TRACE on 0300 077 0100. Alternatively, you can text "TRACE" and your vehicle's registration number to 66663 - you may be charged for this service. Trace will inform you of the location of the pound your vehicle has been removed to. This is a 24-hour service.

When a vehicle has been removed, the required amount on recovery of the vehicle must be paid. On payment, you will be informed of your right to appeal.

You will need to supply one of the following documents that identifies you as the owner or hirer of the vehicle:

  • The vehicle registration certificate (V5C).
  • A valid insurance certificate (Not Cover Note) for the vehicle that names the person collecting the vehicle.
  • Copy of the lease or hire agreement.

You will also need to provide proof of identity. Proof of address will be required if not shown on the proof of vehicle ownership.
