New 24/7 live incidents line launched to tackle anti-social behaviour for council tenants

ASB Live Incidents Line

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) remains one of the top concerns for our residents, as highlighted in the recent resident survey. In response, we are launching a dedicated 24/7 phoneline to improve how council tenants can report live incidents of ASB. This new service is designed to provide faster responses and gather better information to tackle issues more effectively.

Currently, there is no immediate response service for ASB reports. The new phoneline, launched on Monday 3 November, allows Tower Hamlets Enforcement Officers (THEOs) to respond to live incidents in the following categories:

  • Open substance misuse – alcohol, drugs, and nitrous oxide (NOX)
  • Rough sleeping or encampments
  • Vehicle nuisance – disturbances caused in or around stationary vehicles
  • Related to the sex industry
  • Groups loitering and causing nuisance – shouting, arguing, swearing, or playing loud music
  • Noise nuisance complaints

How to Report
Council tenants can report live incidents by calling 020 7364 2332. If appropriate, THEOs will be dispatched to respond.

For incidents that have already occurred, residents should continue to use the online reporting form or the ‘Find it & Fix It’ app: Report Anti-Social Behaviour – Tower Hamlets Tenants and Leaseholders - Tower Hamlets - Terms - forms

To report a crime, please call 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, said:

“We understand how disruptive anti-social behaviour can be to our communities, and we’re committed to tackling it head-on. That’s why we’re launching a new dedicated phone line, developed in direct response to what residents have told us, to help make our neighbourhoods safer and more welcoming for everyone. We encourage council tenants to report incidents as they happen, and also to share details afterwards via our online form, so we can build a clearer picture and take meaningful action to address your concerns.”
