This is a women only event

Diya is an outgoing and confident undergraduate; she meets her boyfriend at university.  Over time, Diya endures physical and emotional abuse, blaming herself and believing her partner’s behaviour is due to stress. After marriage, she hopes things will improve but instead, the violence intensifies. We follow her journey of resistance, courage, and survival.

This play was created by local women from discussions of real-life incidents from community members and stories in the media. The casts are from the local community and majority are first time performers.
