Resident funeral waiver terms and conditions

1 Eligibility and use of waiver

1.1 The waiver is available to people attending the funeral of a person who lived in Tower Hamlets.

1.2 The funeral service or ceremony must take place within Tower Hamlets. 

1.3  A maximum of 26 funeral waivers may be issued for a funeral. 

1.4  The waiver is issued free of charge and must not be copied, altered, or sold.

1.5  The waiver must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard so that all details are visible from outside the vehicle. 

1.6  The waiver is only valid on the date shown on the waiver. 

2 Vehicle Restrictions

2.1  The vehicle must not exceed 2.3 metres in height or 5.25 metres in length, including any attached trailer or caravan. 

2.2 The waiver user must ensure that their vehicle meets these size restrictions. 

3 Where You Can Park

3.1 The waiver is valid for on-street parking in all zones during controlled parking times.

3.2 The parking bays where the permit may be used are specified in Section 4.

3.3 The driver is responsible for checking the parking signs to ensure that the waiver is valid for where they are parked. 

3.4 The vehicle must be parked within the bay markings. 

3.5 The waiver does not guarantee a parking space. 

4 Permitted Parking Bays 

 4.1The waiver is only valid in the following on-street parking bays:

4.1.1 "Resident Permit Holders Only"

4.1.2 "Permit Holders Only"

4.1.3 "Permit Holders or Pay by Phone". 

5  Areas and Bays Where the Waiver Cannot Be Used 

5.1The waiver is not valid in any on-street parking bay other than those listed in Section

5.2 The waiver is not valid in any bays signed "Pay by Phone Only". 

5.3 The waiver is not valid in any off-street parking, including estate parking bays and private land.   

5.4 The waiver is not valid in any suspended parking bays.                                                                         

5.5 The waiver does not allow access to any streets signed "No Motor Vehicles", "Pedestrian and Cycle Zone", or "Pedestrian Zone" during restricted hours. 

6 Permit Control and Compliance 

6.1 We may amend these terms and conditions by giving 28 days' notice unless the changes are minor.

6.2 Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the waiver being cancelled.
