Tower Hamlets Council announces senior appointment

Tower Hamlets Council has appointed Steve Halsey as its new Chief Executive and Julie Lorraine as its new Corporate Director of Resources.

The appointments to the council’s Corporate Leadership Team were approved at the council’s Full Council meeting last night (Wednesday).

Steve has been interim Chief Executive since February.

The meeting took place in Tower Hamlets Council’s new Town Hall in Whitechapel which it moved into earlier this year. The grade II listed building was the former Royal London Hospital.
