On 1 October 2018 our cashless pay and display payment system is changing to RingGo. There's no charge for downloading and using RingGo, but you can opt to get text reminders at a charge of 25p per message. Find out more about how to use RingGo.

Can I apply for a permit?

You can apply for a permit if your address in the borough is your sole or main residence where you live for a minimum of 4 nights a week.

If you live in a car free property you are only allowed a maximum of three books in a year, unless you are a disabled blue badge holder or you have a carer visiting you on a daily basis.

How do I apply for a permit?

You need to fill out the visitors’ scratchcard application form and provide one proof of residency, such as your council tax reference number.

How much does the scratchcards cost?

  • A book of scratchcards costs £16
  • There are 10 scratchcards in a book
  • A scratchcard is valid for 6 hours.

There is no charge if you are aged 60 years or over or if you have a carer visiting you on a daily basis.

Where can I park?

A scratchcard is only valid in the mini-zone that you live, and in parking bays signed:

  • Resident Permit Holders Only
  • Permit Holders only or
  • Permit Holders or Pay at Machine.
