On 1 October 2018 our cashless pay and display payment system is changing to RingGo. There's no charge for downloading and using RingGo, but you can opt to get text reminders at a charge of 25p per message. Find out more about how to use RingGo.

Can I apply for a resident permit?

You can apply for a permit if your address in Tower Hamlets and is your sole or main residence where you live for a minimum of 4 nights a week.

If you live in a car free property you are only allowed to apply if you are a disabled blue badge holder, you have been decanted or you meet the Permit Transfer Scheme (PTS) conditions.

How do I apply for a permit?

One Stop Shop - You need to fill out the resident application form and provide a valid UK Driving Licence and UK Registration Certificate (V5C) both showing your full legal names and address in Tower Hamlets. If you are unable to provide either document please refer to the resident parking permit terms and conditions to see what alternative documents we accept at One Stop Shops.

How much does the permit cost?

Your permit price band is determined by the CO2 emission recorded on the UK Registration Certificate (V5C). Find our much your permit will cost from the parking fees and charges.

Ther is no charge for a disable blue badge holder. Please refer to resident parking permit terms and conditions.

Where can I park?

Your permit is only valid in parking bays signed:

  • Resident Permit Holders only
  • Permit Holders only or
  • Permit Holders or Pay at Machine
