Opportunity for ice cream and mobile café concessions in parks

We have a great opportunity for local businesses to trade in our parks for the summer season in 2023.

We are seeking to license ice cream vans and mobile café operators at fixed pitches.

This is open to vendors who have Public Liability Insurance and Food Hygiene Certificate.

Millwall Park

Millwall ParkMillwall Park offers a variety of facilities, including football pitches, cricket, bowls, play areas (toddlers, juniors and older children), a play centre for under 5s and changing rooms.

There are paths for strolling, seats, trees, meadows and other planting for biodiversity and scenic value. The site represents the heritage of the former docks and shipping industries in the shape of the now disused railway viaduct and the former ropewalk, all within view of Canary Wharf.

Millwall Park Arches

This former docklands site complements the formal, riverside Island Gardens, by providing for sports and play as well as space to get away from the urban scene and to see the sky. The site is linked to the Mudchute Urban Park and Farm. Together with Island Gardens, the three sites together offer a tremendous variety of scenic interest and considerable wildlife value, all within the heart of London.

The community makes good use of the site with a high level of sporting activity and an increasing amount of community events. Local schools and office workers from Canary Wharf make good use of the site.

We are improving the quality and range of facilities as well as the biodiversity value of the site. In the summer of 2018 an outdoor gym was installed .

The park currently holds a Green Flag Award.

A new children's playground

A new children’s playground has been installed. Over 50% of the equipment in the new playground is fully inclusive, allowing children with additional needs to access creative and imaginative play equipment. The toddler and junior areas have been combined into one spaces helping carers to see children of all ages. The design also incorporates the railway arches into the new play space.

Football pitch improvements

Football pitches

Improvement work to the 9v9 caged pitch off Stebondale Street is taking place.  The pitch will not be available for use during this time.  We expect to start taking bookings for the new season in late spring 2022.  The other two grass pitches and rugby pitch are still available to book.

Visit our pitch bookings page for a full list of other football pitches in our parks.
