Panelist: Zamzam Ibrahim, Hashem Abdi, Amin Rashish

This panel will address the history of climate change in the Horn of Africa. It will also look at how young engagement might drive change in the future. The panel consists of a group of climate activists and educators.

Zamzam Ibrahim is a British-Somali activist. She has spent the past decade representing students and young people. She is concerned with social justice, education, and the environment.

Hashem is a Somali-Canadian sustainability activist and climate educator. He is passionate about community organizing and faith-based climate action. He was a participant at COP27. He was involved with global efforts around climate activism and climate disclosure. He has focused on how to increase youth engagement.

Amin is a Somali-British sustainability consultant. He works at PwC, across a range of strategy and risk projects in several different industries.
