Raindance Film Festival is celebrating Black History Month at Genesis Cinema.
We Are Parable is working with the British Council to curate 'We Rebuild. We Reclaim.’ This is a touring programme of seven short films, in collaboration with Raindance Film Festival. All explore Black British experience. All reflect on the cultural significance and legacy of the Empire Windrush – the ship that brought over 500 Caribbeans to the UK in 1948.
This is one of four screenings of programmes celebrating the talent of the African diaspora in front and behind the camera. All films will be UK Premieres. As residents of Tower Hamlets, you will have a chance to watch these films fresh off the festival circuit. You can also participate in the post-screening Q&As with the filmmakers.
Entry for all Tower Hamlets residents will be free, just show up on the day and claim your free tickets!
