In this event, four female writers will discuss their literature and recent publications. They will highlight some issues and challenges around the writing and publication process. They also highlight the importance of representation in the Somali literature scenery.

Fadumo Yusuf is the author of Ayan, of the Lucky and Ebyan, Waqti Iyo Waayaha Jacayl.  She is one of the authors featured in Green Card Voices Book, STEM Voice – Stories from Minnesota Immigrants Working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Hamda Hussien is an author and a podcast host based in London. She will be presenting her new book Rejo.

Nimco Nuur: is a Somali-Finish author. She is a Somali teacher in one of the schools in Finland and published five books and articles both in English and Somali. Most recently, she published Ilays Af Soomaali books (Somali curriculum). These books can be found both as digital and memory form games.
